Bronze Leaf. XIII Catalan Competition of Wine and Cava Tasting Giroví 2008
Variety: 50% Samsó i 50% Garnatxa
Alcohol content: 13,50º vol.
Production: 18.500 bottles of 75 cl.
Elaboration : Part of the must is obtained by dynamic draining and the rest by drawing off the grape once it has been destemed and stored in barrels in order to achieve the desired fruitiness and colour. Following a slight decanting process, the must is mixed with selected yeasts to eventually reach a controlled fermentation temperature below 18°C . It is then aged in tanks, from the end of fermentation to its bottling.
Consumption Temperature: It is advisable to have it cool, between 6° and 10° C.
Flavour: Shiny cherry red coloured wine. Delicate aroma which tastes of red fruits (cherries, strawberries) and a hint of jam. Fresh, smooth, mouth-filling palate, tasty and creamy with a persistent aroma. It invites drinking and quenches the thirst.
Production area: The vines are gathered under the seal of quality ‘Denominació d'Origen Empordà'. They are located on the highest part of the Ampurdan plain, on the range foot, creeping up the hills and spurs of Serra de la Baga de Ferran and the near Serra de l'Albera.
